I donated blood on tuesday (btw, they're having a crisis, so now is a good time to donate).
As a thank you for giving they gave me a box of girlscout cookies. Thin mints, to be exact.
I ate half the box in one sitting. With less blood in my system and so much damn sugar, I nearly shot through the roof!
Thanks red cross. (I really do love girl scout cookies though, don't you?)

Re: blood for cookies
Fri, May 13, 2005 - 9:40 AMI havn't had thin mints in sooo long! The cookie season is over and when I tried to buy some from the Girl Scouts in frot of the grocerty store they were all out.
They always have sugary stuff around for the blood donors don't they?
The sugary stuff is supposed to compensate for the loss of the blood somehow?
